Muddy Puddles

Over the last 20 years Muddy Puddles has developed a range of products that are perfect for children.

Based on four principles, their clothes are designed for children to wear outdoors.

The clothes are designed unisex, and with kids in minds. Children should love wearing these clothes!

The Healthy Back Bag

The Healthy Back Bag is all about bags for everybody for very occasion. They have been using Ushoot since day one.

Designed with their unique patented teardrop shape the bags are like no other. The idea behind the bag is to combine perfectly ideas of comfort, practicality and function all in a stylish designer bag. No easy task.

The bags shape is what really sets it apart, the cross body single-strap bag spreads weight down your spine making heavy loads feel lighter and making it good for your back. This isn’t what we really love about them though. The shape is intriguing but it’s their designs that really supply the wow factor.

Rhino make some of the finest clothing for all sports, including rugby, football, hockey, lacrosse, netball, basketball and volleyball. Whether you play the cold and rain or the heat and sun, their clothing is high quality, high clothing that works in tandem with your body.

We’ve been shooting Rhino gear for a while now. The obvious quality of the materials and make, makes it easy to shoot.

What they needed was a simple, cost efficient solution to getting their products shot. Ushoot Studio then seems like a no brainer.

Rhino is currently the official supplier to England Rugby, The Welsh Rugby Union, Bath, London Wasps, Cardiff Blues, St Helens Rugby League and The British & Irish Lions.

We look forward to the next batch they send in.

So Cosy – the softest wool blankets

As the name suggests So Cosy is about creating beautiful, luxurious, cosy wool products. It started out with blankets and they now have a range of products including throws, rugs, scarves and cushions.

They sent in a selection of blankets to be shot, and we can verify they are soft. Very soft, quite cuddly, we had to restrain ourselves from fondling them unnecessarily.

What makes these products so fabulous, so decadently luxuriously soft, is the wool. The blankets is has been said are ‘like being cuddled’. They use the finest Alpaca, merino and sheep wool.

So Cosy was so named in 2011 when Rimsky (a former fashion designer) and Vilija decided to quit their day jobs and concentrate wholly on their passion and create beautiful products, combining traditional and modern techniques and designs, to complement all interiors.

Why Alpaca?

The alpaca is a charming, gentle animal and its wool has some of the softest, most luxurious fibre found in nature. Alpacas live in a very harsh climate, where temperatures can fluctuate from minus 25 degrees at night to 25 degrees during the day. And so they have evolved this remarkable wool which is hardwearing, versatile and wonderfully soft.

Bonsoir of London

Bonsoir of London came to us the other week with an Emergency. They needed their range of luxury nightwear to be shot, and they needed it now!

They were established in 1926, an era that celebrated the cocktail pyjama, where fashionable hosts entertained guests in their luxury loungewear, and they’ve been going strong ever since.

Bonsoir celebrates this timeless elegance, offering stylish designs carefully tailored to the highest standard using the finest quality fabrics, to ensure durability and exceptional comfort.

Their philosophy is one of exceptional quality, style and comfort.
When coming to capture these garments and properly expose them as the high end products they are, it takes a high quality of photography. So when they found us at Ushoot they were quite pleased.

170 items to be shot, using our new ModelShoot service as well as our product photography, and all in three to four days.
The gauntlet was laid down and we bent to pick it up.

We quickly discovered the difficulties of shooting these garments. Brushed cotton and silk creased quickly and easily meaning constant re-ironing. Plus capturing the garments in a manner that really showed the quality of the materials and the tailoring created new hardships.

We persevered, and our obstinence in the face of impending frustration was rewarded with done.

Selvedge use WeShoot at Ushoot Studios

Selvedge recently sent in a number of really excellent items for us to shoot. Skirts, cushions, blankets. A range of products that display the variety of their textile based collections.

Selvedge is a magazine that acknowledges the breadth of the significance of textiles as a part of everyone’s story. There are many sides to every story and Selvedge is dedicated to finding and nurturing textiles from every angle life. All of us are inundated with textile sensation, from the moment we are taken and wrapped in our first blanket. It is a uniting aspect of all humanity and one that cannot be underrated.

It began as a small collection of textiles and designers. But has over the years grown into a haven of rarified textiles and esoteric treasures. Behind every item – whether a handmade candle or antique table linen is a story worth hearing.

The various nature of the items we needed to shoot for Selvedge was no problem with the machines. The versatility of the upright and horizontal together make what could otherwise have been a difficult and painful process quicker, and easier.

House of Bibs

House of Bibs

It’s always a pleasure to have Maria from House of Bibs in the studio to shoot her fantastic products.

She is quickly becoming a very capable photographer using our machines, capturing her beautiful products in a manner that really highlights their high quality, and well considered designs.

House of Bibs combines contemporary designs with timeless fabrics for both practicality and fashion. We were especially taken with her baby bandana bibs.

The horizontal machine is perfect for shooting the House of Bib’s products, the bibs and matching sets.

We love Rockin Baby

We love Jo! And we love what Rockin Baby are doing with their garrulous, exciting and fun range of product!

Rockin’ Baby was founded in 2002 to provide slings to mothers around the world. They now offer stylish slings and childrenswear, with a philanthropic mission of one-for-one. You buy, they give.

This is Jo’s third visit to Ushoot Studios and we absolutely love her. It has to be said that Rockin Baby are one of our perfect customers. Jo has become almost as proficient in using our horizontal machines as we are.

This time round we faced an extra challenge in that we only had 3 days to turn around the 400 pieces that needed to be shot. All are to be placed in their brochure to be printed tomorrow (Jo started shooting on Monday!)

As it happens she finished shooting with hours to spare and we set up a system to sen images as they were shot, and fingers crossed there will be no stressed our designers at the other end waiting for content

Archivist Gallery at Ushoot Studios

Large match boxes_Group Shot

The last few weeks have seen a huge variety of product come through the doors of the studio and one company that had us guessing was Archivist Gallery, a glorious letterpress business producing a wonderful array of products

Archivist Gallery are a home-spun team of artisan printers who create beautiful products using letterpress—a technique of relief printing where the printer sets movable type and images into the bed of the press before inking it and setting the thing in motion.

Shooting the matchboxes was quick and easy using our Horizontal Styleshoots and we soon had a wide range of shots. Shooting glass bottles is of course more tricky but with some diffusers, some shaped pieces of card and a little patience we were happy with the results and we are very much looking forward to seeing more letterpress work in the studio soon.

Lobster Home-wear come to Ushoot

Alec and the team from Lobster homewear were in the studio a few weeks back with their frankly brilliant intergrated apron and oven mits…

To be honest Dan got so excited when he saw the lobster aprons that we thought we may have to hospitalise him!
The Lobster concept is simple and brilliantly executed. Anyone who spends anytime in the kitchen is constantly frustrated and infuruiated by not having oven glove on hand at that vital moment. Or worse you had them a second ago but just when speed is off the essence the kitchen goblins have yet again hidden the mitts…

In an amazing arayu of designs, beautifully made we know that this brilliant product will be an instant success

Wishing all at Lobster the best of luck and see you all soon
